Interests, interesting, interested
Some people describe things as interests, which I would functions, I go to the bathroom a few times a day, its a function not an interest. If you like going to restaurants, it a place to eat, a function, not an interest. I dont find a person interesting because they like to go out to eat. Going to see live music, plays, professional sports, make you a spectator in life. Watching someone else do something doesn't qualify you for anything, improve you, make you more interesting, it just says you prefer to sit and not exert effort and be entertained. If you had a husband, or boyfriend that you tagged along or did his interests with him I dont think that would particularly qualify it as being one of your interests. There is always the separation of being an enthusiast and keeping tabs on something and actually being involved. Ill read about exotic cars, and stop to look at them, but ive never owned one so I wont consider it something i do, just something I observe. My interests are what Ive made a financial commitment, or time commitment to over the years. Some of them are active others Ive gotten away from, but might return to. Hi performance cars, have had about a half dozen, build some from scratch, have two presently, RV ing-motor-home, have one now, want to go bigger and spend winter months down south> They are nice in that, my dogs dont know what a boarding kennel is, they come with, Watercraft, have a powerboat, had a line of small sailboats including a catamaran, and several smaller laser type boats, jets skis, had a total of 10 most sit down one stand up, have two at this time, guns, not a gun nut, but the saying is its better to have one and not need it than need it and not have it Fitness have worked out for years weigh training, bodybuilding, running and.bicycling, have been involved with area racing cycling groups and was a regular rider,speed skated during the winter month, a real standard off season thing for cyclists. Dogs, currently on my third set of pooches in 30 yrs, of non stop ownership, one of the biggest joys in my life.Tried downhill skiing, not the best spot to be doing it, travel to do it. eh. Made some parachute jumps, fun enough a rush, but again the jumping school was an hour drive, you wait till they get a plane load to make it worth their while going up, you jump out of the plane and you're on the ground in a couple minutes Investments, in a position that my portfolio is big enough that it qualifies as something that consume time to be maintained an to get to that point, yes was an interest. Collect crystal, decanters, and salt and pepper shakers, not that I read up and seek out particular ones, but when I see a piece. one at a good price it becomes part of the collection.
